Aircraft Quality / Technical Inspector (MD-530F)

Job Description:

Leidos is currently seeking an Aircraft Quality / Technical Inspector. The Aircraft Quality / Technical Inspector will work and travel in between customer sites as needed. Customer sites include Kandahar, Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan. The Aircraft Quality / Technical Inspector will establish and maintain the quality system, including International Organization Standard (ISO) requirements. The Aircraft Quality / Technical Inspector will perform quality system document control and internal audits to ensure that the quality system is complete and effective and perform aircraft, component, and shop inspections to assure compliance with specifications, technical instructions and related directives.

Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems.
Completes inspections required by the U.S. Government, the aircraft OEM maintenance manuals, and local established and/or modified maintenance procedures and processes.
Responsible to support daily organizational maintenance in accordance with technical data and directives.
Render technical assistance and instruction to Afghan personnel in the assembly, operation, service repair and modification of the aircraft.
May be tasked with implementation of quality related special projects, such as training or auditing.
May be required to conduct research or assist in investigation studies.
Implement design/development of new or modified equipment or methods/systems for improved performance.
Evaluate and resolve calibration and troubleshooting problems.
Ensure maintenance records and maintenance actions are completed and correct and that military maintenance records meet local directives.
May be tasked with additional responsibilities including support of quality related projects, such as training or auditing.
This position may require travel or permanent relocation to other program areas in Afghanistan as the mission dictates.

This position is located in Afghanistan on a 90/30 rotation.


Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
6 Years experience in relevant area with 2 years experience directly related to contract effort
Must have MD530 Experience
Active NACI clearance
Very familiar with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel and Access


As the position location is in Afghanistan, the following requirements need to be met:
US Citizen
Active passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration prior to start date
Visa with multiple entries for 12 months prior to start date
Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment.
Failure to complete any of these actions within 60 days of accept will result in rescinding of the offer. If the candidate is unable to pass the medical screening after the start date and prior to deployment an immediate administrative termination will be requested.


Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Aviation background experience
Understanding and accepting local languages, customs and traditions (to be able to work with local customs, transport systems and language interpretation)
Ability to work and live in a team environment
Military deployment experience is highly desired and deployment experience to the CENTCOM region is desired
